Impossibrew returns to Crowdcube to fund retail push, targeting £1.3m

Impossibrew, the UK functional alcohol-free beer brand, has launched a fresh Crowdcube raise to fund an aggressive retail expansion, targeting a maximum of £1.3 million at a £15m pre-money valuation. The round had pulled in almost £500,000 from 518 investors at the time of reporting.

The brand makes a 0.5% ABV beer built around its patent-pending Social Blend, a mix of nootropics and adaptogens developed with Dr Paul Chazot at Durham University. The blend is designed to mimic the relaxed "one or two pint feeling" of alcoholic beer without the alcohol.

Impossibrew says revenue rose from £37,000 in its first year of trading in 2021 to more than £3.5m in the 2025 financial year, a roughly 95x increase over four years. It has reached more than 100,000 direct-to-consumer customers, and monthly subscription sales jumped from £110,000 in January 2025 to £270,000 a year later.

The company runs a deliberately lean, AI-heavy model, operating with just four staff and leaning on internal agents and automation for operations, reporting, customer insight, and content. It reports 47% returning customers and high referral intent among its base.

After building primarily through DTC, Impossibrew is now pivoting to retail. It secured its first supermarket listing with Ocado earlier this year, where it says it ranks among the top dedicated low- and no-alcohol beer brands. Proceeds from the round will go toward scaling inventory, securing further major retail listings, and additional working capital.
