Oato has extended its fresh oat drink range with a limited-edition Fresh Oat Matcha Latte, launching from July exclusively through doorstep delivery service the Modern Milkman at £2.50. The tie-up keeps the new line off retail shelves and routes it straight to subscribers' doorsteps, delivered fresh daily across the UK.
A fresh spin on matcha
Oato's pitch rests on the word "fresh." Where most oat drinks — and most ready-to-drink matcha — are ambient and heavily processed for shelf stability, Oato's chilled format involves less processing, which the brand argues gives a cleaner taste.

Applying that positioning to matcha, a category currently riding a wave of consumer interest, gives the limited run a clear point of difference in a crowded plant-based aisle.
Oato is already the best-selling fresh oat drink on British milk rounds, alongside listings in Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado. Oato Matcha Latte will be available exclusively with the Modern Milkman at £2.50, ensuring customers can get the product delivered daily.
Oato manufactures in the UK using 100% British oats, and says its solar-powered Lancashire bottling site generates more energy than it uses across the year, keeping carbon miles among the lowest of any plant-based drink on sale.
